Getting Started in War Robots – Best Weapons!

As a new player in WR, you are probably wondering what kind of weapons are good to get you competitive and start jumping the leagues.  Here’s a good list!

• Punisher/Punisher T:

The Punisher and Punisher T are respectively light and medium weapons.  Ideal brawling weapons with a max range of 500 meters and high damage-per-second, when fired for more than 3 seconds they begin firing at 1.5x the normal rate.  It is recommended to put these on these robots to take advantage of the brawling power:

• Destrier (2x punisher)
• Vityaz (Thunder + 2x punisher)
• Leo (Thunder + 3x punisher).

Note: although the Leo is rather slow it has tons of health so is better suited for brawling.

• Molot/Molot T

Similar to the Punisher weapons, the Molots have similar firing rate increase after 3 seconds, but trade longer range for less damage and slower firing rate (more damage-per-minute).  Ideally placed on slower robots to take advantage of sniping power:

• Patton (4x Molot)

Rocket weapons (Tulumba, Pin, Pinata)

The Tulumba and Pin have a 500 meter range with no damage drop-off.  They also have splash, so you can blast people behind a corner if they are close enough to it.

• Griffin, 2x Tulumba and Pin (Russian Death Button build).

The Piñata only has 300 meter range, but unloads a ton of missiles really fast for high damage.

• Jesse, 4x piñata.

 

Premium (Gold) guns:

The first thing you should spend your gold on is an Orkan.  Basically a big Piñata, the Orkan is a popular weapon up to Champions League due to its incredible DPS.  However, it only has a 300m radius, requiring you to get close to do enough damage.  Early builds for Orkans:

• Cossack Orkan
• Death Button Griffin (2x Piñata, 2x Orkan)
• Gareth (1 piñata and orkan).

Plasma (Taran, Magnum)

The Taran and Magnum also cost gold.  They have longer range (350m) and longer unload time, but with the ability to go through energy shields.  The Magnum has the benefit of infinite ammo in exchange for slower firing rate.  Good builds:

• Cossack Taran
• Taran Magnum Griffin
• Taran Magnum Gareth
• Patton Magnum
